Vanilla Ice is charged for hitting his wife for the nth time.
The one time big time rapper was set free from Palm Beach County Jail after a court rendezvous last week, moments after getting detained for jostling his wife.
Nancy Perez, Criminal Court Justice of Palm Beach County consigned Robert Van Winkle aka Vanilla Ice on monitored discharge exclusive of bond and mandated him to stay away from his Missus aka Laura Van Winkle, while waiting for the court’s conclusion regarding the case.
“I love my wife and I know she feels bad about this,” Van Winkle advised Perez.
“Good luck to you,” said Perez.
Wes Kain, Mr. Ice’s agent, tagged the confrontation as “a misunderstanding.”
According to the spokeswoman for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Teri Barbera, the hip-hopster is charged one count of regular marital battery and will therefore go into the Palm Beach County Supervised Own Recognizance course, which obliges him to move out and keep away from Mrs.Ice.
The only means of contact he can have with her is through phone, the judge approved him visitation rights with their two kids, Dustee Rain, 8 and Keelee Breeze, 10, provided that he’s within sight of his neighbor.
Ice was also permissible to one-off stopover to the couple’s Wellington residence accompanied by a police officer to gather his private stuff. If not, he must stay away until the domestic battery charge is resolved.
According to the arrest information, the rapper was apprehended and booked at approximately 10:43 p.m. Monday, after his Missus called 911 and advised that she had been punched and kicked by Van Winkle after a heated discussion over the procurement of a bedroom set. Laura Van Winkle reported that the episode happened in front of one of their kids.
Police arrived at around 7:15 p.m. then trailed Ice, who was about two blocks away from the house on his motorbike. After the police got back, Mrs.Ice changed her tale, stating that she had only been pushed, there’s no alarm for her wellbeing, and she would require a divorce. After which, she clammed up and insisted to speak to her attorney.
Ice claimed that he hopped on his motorbike to keep far from her, not the cops. He also said that he did not push her and claimed that they had been arguing for two days and that his wife was bipolar and sometimes “irrational.“
