Naomi’s Bodily Fluids: Unwelcome
April 17, 2008
Naomi Campbell’s bodily fluids is very much unwelcome in more than one continent.
Less than a month following the London police spitting incident, a Rio de Janeiro hospital found her willing contribution in a blood drive unnecessary.
The supermodel dropped by at the capital’s HemoRio medical center on Tuesday to join in the crusade to accumulate enough blood to fight Brazil’s existing dengue fever outbreak. The epidemic is the nastiest in the nation’s record and has previously infected more than 75,000 people and killed at least 80 in Rio state.
Sorry to say, Campbell wasn’t able to examine the fine print before hopping on the 13-hour trip on Brazil’s TAM Airlines (she’s allegedly been banned from British Airways) to Rio to participate to the cause.
Hospital staff was mandated to whisk her away since there’s no sufficient time that passed since she had surgery in February for her to be qualified to donate.
The frisky beauty spent one week recuperating in a Sao Paulo hospital after emergency surgery to remove a small cyst from her abdomen. She was sent home on Feb. 29.
