Because of some well-situated and persistent niggling from the academy award acclaimed actor’s mum, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are now set to say “I do’s”

The National Enquirer recently published that Javier popped the question while the couple were on vacation in France, following Penelope’s seal of approval provided by his mum Pilar.

A mole claims: “Pilar took her son aside and told him, ‘What’s the matter with you? She’s perfect! You love her, she loves you. Get married.’”

The pair hooked up in 2007 during production of Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona in Spain.

Peneé and Javier’s big day is whispered to happen later this year.
