Ladies and men alike will soon have an opportunity to sniff Berry all day long.
Women’s Wear Daily recently reported that Halle Berry is cooking up a business streak, after signing a deal with Coty to develop her own fragrance line.
The Academy Award winner will appear in all interconnected advertising promotions and the actual merchandise are anticipated to hit stores in spring 2009.
“Halle is an iconic actress and symbolizes beauty to many generations,” Steve Mormoris, the Coty Beauty U.S.’ senior VP of global marketing, announced.
“She adds another dimension to the celebrity fragrance market. Halle has always been a little more mysterious, not quite as open with her personal life as some other stars. “
“Her fragrances will allow her to present another facet of her personality to her fans.”
Berry joins the long list of celebs coming up with their own scents lately. Partial record includes Justin Timberlake, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez, David and Victoria Beckham, Gwen Stefani, Kate Moss, Celine Dion, Paris Hilton, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Mariah Carey.
The 41 year old actress, is a new mommy, running eight months pregnant with her first baby, she has been one of Revlon’s well recognized star endorsers for more than ten years, she has been Versace’s muse as well, and also been repeatedly printed in People’s “50 Most Beautiful People” lists.
Halle and her babydaddy model boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, met at a Versace shoot.
“He’s always his authentic self, never worried about being judged,” Berry gushed during an interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show last October. “To walk with that kind of confidence…and with integrity, I know he has ability to love me, love our children, and he will do that.“
However, she has no intention of getting married anytime soon.
“What Gabriel and I have decided is we will just redefine marriage for ourselves,” she said.
“You know, that paper isn’t worth anything to me anymore. I don’t want to do that again…I feel more married in a way than I ever have in two marriages before.“
