Relax, girls. He’s not precisely loveless but George Clooney is not really engaged.
The hunky actor has shorned off the recent buzz regarding his alleged engagement to his girlfriend Sarah Larson. The couple has been together for a year.
“These reports are not true,” Clooney said in a testimonial as announced through his publicist.
Unconfirmed reports stated that Clooney’s bond with Larson, was gearing up to the altar amplified after she recently attended the Oscars with him, making her the foremost among his past relationships ever to do so.
In an account available on its website Monday, Britain’s Marie Claire quoted a restaurant personnel from the town of Laglio, Italy, where Clooney has a villa, who swore that the couple had surreptitiously gotten engaged.
“They haven’t made any announcement yet, but there are people in this town who know more than me,” the anonymous worker was cited as saying. “They say the couple are already engaged.”
For the time being, thank heavens, Clooney is satisfied to simply date Larson.
Clooney, who was once wedded to Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993, has proclaimed in the past that he by no means plana to take another trip down the aisle.
“I’ve been married,” Clooney admitted in November 2006. “It’s not something I’m looking out for. The truth is, I’m really happy.”
Staying true to his bachelorhood, he also won wagers with Michelle Pfeiffer and Nicole Kidman, who each gambled $10,000 that he would be a doting dad by 40.
The actor gave back their checks, but presented to make it twofold or nothing that he wouldn’t have children by 50.
