Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson Back Together

Owen Wilson is currently in Miami filming “Marley and Me” with Eric Dane and Jennifer Aniston. Aside from the shoot, the returning actor is also reportedly busy spending more time with former girlfriend Kate Hudson (picture shown above was when they were still together).

Kate is in Miami this week for the Miami Film Festival.

A friend of Mr. Wilson told the NY Daily News that the pair has managed to avoid the paparazzi and that they had enjoyed each other’s company in Owen’s mansion in Star Island – and yes, there is a Star Island.

Mr. Wilson’s friend adds, “They rekindled things over Oscar weekend at Madonna’s big bash, and their schedules happened to sync perfectly for a Miami trip. Owen has a home in Miami and decided to come a little before filming began for his new movie, so he could spend time with Kate.”

People saw the two touching each other playfully during the party. And only last month, Owen was seen leaving Kate’s home in Pacific Palisades, California and then in a separate sighting, she was seen leaving his Malibu estate.

A friend of Kate’s told OK magazine that all of them are hoping that this recent thing they have is just a fling (confirming that the reports are true) and not the start of another serious relationship: “Kate fell for Owen so hard that she risked everything and went head first into love with him.”

So far all we have are accounts from friends and none from the actual people involved. Who could blame them?

When asked about the rumors, Wilson’s rep only said, “We don’t comment on our clients’ personal lives.”

Sheesh. Well, what can you say? He likes the girl. Let’s just hope everything turns out better than last time. Better yet, let’s just hope that the rumors turn out to be just that and that Owen has moved on with his life (which he almost lost over this girl, literally):

The two met on the set of You, Me & Dupree two years ago. They hit it off quickly in the same year that Kate’s six year marriage to Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes ended. They were seen all over the place and seemed happy with their relationship and the way things are going.

A year after, Owen broke up with Kate. The reason? He reportedly liked partying more than he liked Kate. Ouch! Coming from someone who is 11 years her senior!

And in August, Mr. Wilson attempted suicide by overdosing on pills and allegedly slitting his wrist. Although it was never clear why he tried to kill himself, people, in their impetuous mind, have branded that depression over their break-up was the main reason. Rumors also circulated that he started doing drugs due to their split which eventually led to depression and suicide.

Kate was seen in tears in the set of Fool’s Gold after receiving news of the incident.
