Katherine Heigl is this year’s most desirable woman to have as a girlfriend or wife, at least according to the readers of the men’s lifestyle website AskMen.com.

The US television series Grey’s Anatomy star whose film acknowledgment include Knocked Up and 27 Dresses, was number one at AskMen’s eighth annual list of ‘The 99 Most Desirable Women.‘

Estimated around five million votes were sent out at the website for the duration of six weeks inquiring which women in fashion, music, or entertainment category most exemplify the traits of a best girlfriend or wife.

Alessandra Ambrosio , Victoria’s Secret lingerie model was the second top choice while actress Kate Beckinsale landed at number three spot.

“The poll continues to bring a smile to my face each year,” Maria Menounos, actress and television entertainment correspondent announced, incidentally she was among the list and bagged the 11^th spot.

AskMen recommended the respondents to look outside physical attributes and focus instead in qualities such as humor, intelligence, ambition and charisma desired in a companion.

“There is at least one woman on the list that each of our eight million readers would find as their perfect companion.”

Also included in the 10 partner choices at AskMen are actresses like Eva Mendes, Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel as well as singer Rihanna and supermodels Marisa Miller and Adriana Lima.

“I guess it’s better than the alternate lists — ‘the not-so-hot of the year!’” retorted the “Desperate Housewives” star and recently married Eva Longoria Parker, who was positioned at 29th in the survey.

Internet sensation and self-proclaimed video game lover Jessica Chobot, secured herself at Eighty-eighth place. She was photographed licking a Sony PSP portable gaming device, which created a huge buzz online.
