Good news music fans! Sheryl Crow recently announced that she is collaborating with Fleetwood Mac.
“I don’t want to make any official announcements, but I will say that we definitely have plans for collaborating in the future, and we’ll see what happens,” the “Leaving Las Vegas” singer informed the AOL’s music site Spinner.com.
The reports appeared in the middle of mushrooming rumors hit-making band is planning to reunite for a new tour and/or album.
Whereas Sheryl Crow, declined to confer information on what her position would be with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame supergroup, she did however, advised that she has get a hold of much inspiration from Fleetwood Mac crooner Stevie Nicks.
“I think the person I learned the most hands-on from is Stevie Nicks because she allowed me not only to cowrite with her but also to produce her, and she’s a true artist,” Crow sadi.
“I love people that are not jaded or desensitized and that are still really into what they’re doing and into growing as an artist, and that’s her,” Crow admits. “She’d walk out and stand at the microphone, and I swear I was looking at a 20-year-old, because she just exudes this kind of sensual love for music.“
Crow envisage what a partnership with the Mac might generate.
“I’d love to do ‘The Chain,’ I’d love to do ‘Second Hand News,‘ ” the Grammy winner gushed.
Both melodies are from Fleetwood Mac’s celebrated 1977 Rumours, which is one of the bestselling records in history, selling more than 30 million copies.
Provided that Crow definitely joins Nicks, Lindsay Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie for a gig, it would assist in plugging the gap left by the group’s longtime keyboardist-vocalist Christie McVie, who gave up work in 1998. The legendary group last toured in 2004.
