Madonna and Guy Ritchie Split?

Apparently, Guy Ritchie is nowhere to be found.

He and pop superstar wife Madonna (pictured above during obviously happier times!) haven’t been seen together for months now. And we’re still counting.

Madonna was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame just last March 10 (she is pictured below with topless rock legend Iggy Pop and Justin Timberlake) and Guy was a no show. Madonna, as if trying to get back at her husband, didn’t even mention him in her speech – major ouch!

The couple was married in Scotland in 2000 and they have been together for seven years now. Madonna is already 49, while Guy is 39. Rumors are swirling around that they have already split up. The British newspaper “The Sun” published an article on their website that read: “Madge’s Marriage Hangs By A Thread.”

Chitchatters are theorizing that Madonna is only prolonging the announcement so as to not affect her fans, and her career. She just recently finished a new album entitled Hard Candy. The album will drop late next month.

According to John Ritchie, Guy’s father, the marriage is truly on the rocks. According to an interview featured in Closer magazine, John said that they are “not spending any time together. Madonna is busy in America with the children, and Guy wants to stay in the UK. They won’t be spending Easter together either.” – We can’t argue with that: Madonna is Jewish! No Easter! But seriously…

“Guy is very busy over here in England, and didn’t make it to her film premiere last week. He spends his weekends in the countryside and the rest of the time in London.” – Obviously, he wants to be alone. He is reportedly working on a script for a new movie. For those who don’t know what he does with his life, Guy Ritchie is a writer/ director. Some of his works include “Snatch” (with Brad Pitt), “Revolver” (with Jason Statham), “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” (also with Jason Statham). He is set to release a new movie with “300” star Gerard Butler this coming October. The movie is entitled “RocknRolla” – Madonna must be delighted! Haha!

As for Madonna’s side, her US spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg said that she is “delighted to confirm that Mr. and Mrs. Guy Ritchie remain happily married.”

She also added that, “Though they were in different countries recently – Madonna in the US doing promotion for her upcoming album Hard Candy and Guy finishing up post-production on his new film RocknRolla as well as completing a Nike commercial and working on several scripts in England – the family are joyfully back together at home in London. All is well and wonderful in the Ritchie household.”

But the plan, according to rumors, is that Madonna only went there to pick up their kids and soon they will be on a plane back to the US. Madonna wants to move back to the States for a longer period this time around. Guy Ritchie was not too happy about that, according to reports.

They have three kids: David Banda is 2 (his adoption from Malawi made headlines, remember?), Rocco is 7, and their eldest is Lourdes who is 11 (she is her lovechild with former personal trainer Carlos Leon).
