LUCKY HOTTIE: VANESSA HUDGENS

Vanessa Hudgens

Lucky streak seemed to not run out for Vanessa Hudgens.

Following the official announcement that her spot in the upcoming High School Musical feature film is definitely set, comes a buzz that the teen has finally concluded a lawsuit filed in opposition to her by her ex-lawyer.

Details of the settlement were not revealed.

In September, Attorney Brian L. Schall sued Hudgens for breach of contract and unjust enrichment. He claimed that he backed up the young actress to score songwriting and recording contracts that provided her more than $5 million and that he also provided an advance costs and expenses for the starlet during the phase they worked jointly.

Schall implicit said that Hudgens contracted to pay him 5 percent of her gross income after she signed with him in October 2005, from the abovementioned deals until she completely paid off the “advance” up until a year after their lawyer-client relationship is over.

Schall added that Hudgens made a payment but still owed him around $150,000, plus a range of charges.

Meanwhile, Hudgens reiterated that she had fired Schall earlier in the year after deciding that his services fell “below professional standards,” counter attacked in November by filing a motion seeking to have the legal eagle’s lawsuit actioned out on the basis that she was underaged when she hired him.

A copy of her birth certificate was included with her filing, which presented her birthdate of Dec. 14, 1988, and a duplicate of a letter she sent to Schall on Oct. 9, legitimately dissolving their contract.

Evan N. Spiegel, Hudgens’ lawyer, quoted California’s Family Code, which “provides that the contract of a minor is voidable and may be disaffirmed before [age 18] or within a reasonable time afterward.”

On the other hand, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Tricia Ann Bigelow discarded Hudgens’ proposal to discharge the suit last month, on the grounds that she had postponed too long to officially rebuff her contract with Schall. Hudgens apparently decided to reinforce a settlement rather than witness the issue go to trial.

Legal predicament set aside, the young hottie can catch back and focus on her flourishing professional life.

Adding together to her role as Gabriella Montez in High School Musical 3, Vanessa Hudgens is also scheduled to star as a nonconformist teen in the forthcoming project a dramedy called Will, production begins next month in Austin, Texas.
