Oasis is back. After a grueling wait for their millions of fans worldwide, the band is finally back on tour with a new album entitled “Dig Out your Soul.”

When the band released this 7^th studio album yesterday, it sold over 90,000 copies in the UK… that was on the first day alone – making it the second fastest selling album of the year to date. The only album that sold faster than "Dig Out.." is Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida..” I dare say that Coldplay has taken much of the limelight in the UK alternative rock scene for the past few years – is it time for Oasis to reclaim their throne? We’ll see.

Oasis had to get back on tour. In an interview with talkSPORT last June, Noel Gallagher (vocalist / guitarist / songwriter) was even quoted as saying, "[the album] is gonna sound great live, which is the most important thing." Remember just last month, Noel was attacked by a “fan” during the band’s set at the V Festival in Canada. While performing the song "What’s the Story (Morning Glory)," the title track of their 1995 internationally acclaimed album, 41 year old Gallagher was pushed by a man which caused the artist to fall hard on his monitor speakers. The man was later on identified as one Daniel Sullivan, 47. Sullivan came from backstage and after pushing Noel, went after his younger brother, Liam (lead vocalist / songwriter) who dodged the attack. Liam was seen in the YouTube video as going after Sullivan in retaliation but was restrained by event security. Noel returned to the stage a few minutes later to complete the set and was taken to a hospital after the show, where it was later learned that he had suffered three broken and dislodged ribs.

The incident was never talked about in the recent Liverpool tour held in Echo Arena, which will kick off the 18 date UK leg. Noel sang 4 songs while Liam sang 17. Although famous British boxer Ricky Hatton had something to say before the band played their first song: "Anyone jumps up tonight, they’ll have me to deal with." None of the 10,000 wanted a piece of Hatton.

All the UK tour tickets were sold out in less than an hour. The Dig Out You Soul Tour kicked off at the WaMu Theater in Seattle last August 26. The gig in Canada, at the Virgin Festival, was part of the tour’s North American leg. Four shows were postponed due to the injuries to Noel. Another show, supposed to be at Terminal 5 in New York City, was canceled altogether.

Oasis will again be performing tonight at the Liverpool Echo Arena. Before Oasis started the tour, Noel Gallagher said that he is considering on outplaying The Rolling Stones‘ "A Bigger Bang Tour." This historic worldwide concert tour was the highest grossing of all time - making $558,255,524 to be exact. The tour took place between August of 2005 and 2007 – six months less than the schedule of the Dig Out You Soul Tour.

Guess which Kardashian sister will spend time behind bars? One of them failed to follow court orders based on a DUI charge. Bad girl! Scary Khloe Kardashian (far right) is the latest Hollywood celeb to serve jail time. Khloe, the sister of “amateur porn star” / celeb Kim Kardashian and one of the stars of the reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians” on E!, admitted during a recent court hearing (through her attorney) that she violated a probation that stemmed from a previous DUI arrest. She pleaded no contest to the DUI charge on March 2007. Five months later, Khloe was sentenced to 36 months probation and community service with the California Department of Transportation. She was also ordered to complete an alcohol treatment program. Since she failed to follow the court order, she is now being ordered to surrender and serve 30 days in jail. Aside from the jail time, Khloe still has to enroll in an alcohol treatment program within 3 weeks from her release and the probation will continue. Khloe is scheduled to go to jail in three days. "Drinking and driving should be taken very seriously and unfortunately, Khloe had to learn the hard way," says her mother Kris Jenner. "I hope Khloe will learn from her mistakes and I hope all of her brothers and sisters will learn from her actions and consequences. As always, we love and support our children." "Khloe wants you to know she was sentenced to go to jail in regards to her one DUI case last year,” says Kim Kardashian on her blog. “Khloe is ready and willing to serve out her sentence, no matter how long and where, and have this resolved. I urge people to learn from the mistakes of others. Please drink responsibly and it’s never acceptable to drink and drive!" Khloe will probably serve less than a week in the already crowded LA County Jail. That’s why she’s so “brave” to surrender!
