Project Runway Has A New Home
April 10, 2008
Project Runway will be bidding adieu to Bravo and then coming home to its cable competitor Lifetime this fall.
NBC Universal, Bravo’s home base, was not pleased. They actually waged a war on previous Miramax big boss Harvey and Bob Weinstein, whose latest business enterprise sold the series to Bravo in 2003, and charged a breach-of-contract lawsuit against the brothers’ namesake company.
NBC Universal announced in a statement that dibs on upcoming seasons of Project Runway, and charged the Weinstein Co. of signing a contract with Lifetime even before Bravo had the opportunity to match the proposition.
50 Cent Blamed for Yayo Incident
April 9, 2008
50 Cent (pictured above) was sued on Wednesday for promoting the “gangsta lifestyle.”
The multi million dollar suit was filed by a 14 year old boy who was assaulted by friends of the rapper.
The boy’s name is James Rosemond. He and his mother, Cynthia Reed, says that Universal Music Group (which is owned by Vivendi SA) and its record labels Interscope Records, G-Unit Records and Shady Records, are all responsible for the assault because they encourage artists and fans to pursue violent, criminal, gangster-like lifestyles.
Lindsay Lohan Sued by Own Muscle
April 8, 2008
Lindsay Lohan has a big problem - literally.
A former bodyguard filed a lawsuit against the celebutard for not paying him $55,000 he is owed for pay and expenses. The bodyguard was hired by Lilo mainly to protect her from the paparazzi (and, according to him, to keep everyone away from her – even fans). Also, he was tasked to obtain VIP tables at clubs, get tickets for concerts, tip valet parkers, and was an on call chauffeur for Lilo and her friends.
